The roles and duties of international organizations in delivering health assistance for refugees and migrants primarily circle around overseeing policy on treating refugees and migrants as far as healthcare is concerned. Access to healthcare in the developing and the developed world is mainly driven by the level of health insurance coverage and the amount of public investment the government has pumped into the healthcare system (Lotfi et al., 2017). For that reason, international organizations can influence the inclusion of refugees and migrants in the universal healthcare formula adopted in the developing and developed world (Lotfi et al., 2017). On the other hand, the roles and responsibilities of governmental agencies mainly revolve around the execution and implementation of the policies formulated by the government through the influence of the international communities and organizations (Lotfi et al., 2017). Faith-based communities should ensure cohesion in the communities that have both native and migrant communities to ensure effective and efficient delivery of health services through promoting relevant policies and initiatives or advocating for them. The involvement of faith-based communities also creates a like-minded community that offers a refuge of safety and comfort (Lotfi et al., 2017). Membership in international organizations and initiates a collaborative culture to further ensure that needs are being met from a holistic perspective. The humanitarian crisis causes a breakdown in community and normalcy, further traumatizing the migrants as they are forced from norms.
