Then, pick an organization, preferably an organization that you are working for now (or have worked for in the past), or an organization that someone you know (e.g., family, friend) have worked for. The key is that you know this organization in more depth than the rest of us in the class. In about 300-500 words, respond to the following :
Provide brief context/description of the organization (e.g., organizational size, industry, culture, etc.). You can give the company a pseudonym, if you prefer.
Does this company use evidence-based management?
If it does, give one or two examples of this.
If it does not, why do you think this is happening? Lack of knowledge, lack of interest, culture, or something else.
Describe a way in which your organization (past, current, or dream company) would benefit from the use of “people data” (to either improve on an existing practice or make an effective change).
Be specific about the kind of “people data” you are describing. What kind of data are you referring to?
Take a look at common data collected by HR Analysts, but you can be creative!
What insights do you think this data could provide to your organization?
How would you convince your CEO about the value of collecting the data you need?
