The Fire-Bird – repair

I have my essay already however the teacher want me to explain and repair them. So please read my essay and answer for my teacher all the question her give me.
– I will put the require of the essay below here

How to Post (The Fire-Bird and Propp)

Make sure you end up with two different post at the end of the week.

1) Identify three different functions. Select the quote that exemplifies that function.
Example from The Raven: Interdiction, “I wish you were a raven and would fly away, then I should have a little peace.”
2) Identify three different dramatis personae. Explain your conclusions.
Example from The Raven (the villain): The queen is the villain because she makes a request that results in a lack.
– I will put my essay bellow here. Please read and follow my teacher review to redoing that.
1)The Fire-Bird Functions
Ivan Tsarevitch, The Firebird, and the Grey Wolf follow absentation (first function), where one of the important family members is absent from home for a specific reason. The three brothers leave home to search for the Firebird as instructed by their father. “They took their father’s blessing, and both went to find the Firebird. Ivan Tsarevich too began to beg his father’s blessing” is the quote that exemplifies this function.

The second function (interdiction) is seen right before the journey to find the Firebird begins. Ivan is commanded to avoid following his brothers since the kingdom requires a man, and the father is getting old. He was instructed to stay behind and guard the kingdom in case of invasion. This function is seen in the sentiment, “My dear son, my darling child, thou art still young, unused to such a long and difficult journey, why shouldst thou part from me? Thy brothers have gone; now, if thou goest too, and all three of you fail to return for a long time. Tsar was warning his younger son about the dangers of going on such a delicate mission, yet no one left could take care of the kingdom after the father’s age.

Ivan violates the interdiction his father gave him, forming the third function (violation). He ignores the direction given to him by his father to remain within the kingdom. Instead of listening, he prepared a horse and took off . The text says, “But no matter how the Tsar tried to detain Ivan Tsarevich, he could not avoid letting him go at his urgent prayer. Ivan Tsarevich took his father’s blessing, chose a horse, and rode away. He rode on, not knowing himself whither”.

Remember that according to Propp, the functions follow in ascending order (1-31). Your analysis explains the following:

Absentation: You write that one of the important family members is absent from home for a specific reason. The three brothers leave home to search for the Firebird as instructed by their father. “They took their father’s blessing, and both went to find the Firebird. Ivan Tsarevich too began to beg his father’s blessing” is the quote that exemplifies this function.
Propp explains that for absentation someone leaves or dies. The absence creates tension in the plot.
Is the quote you use really absentation? Don’t the brothers start the journey? Haven’t we already established a lack by the time the brothers depart? Isn’t the entire reason the brothers are leaving is to resolve the lack?

Figure out the lack. There are two lacks in this story. The first is resolved relatively quickly, but then the next lack emerges. What is that second lack?
Once you figure out the lack, figure out what the correct function is for the quote you selected: ““They took their father’s blessing, and both went to find the Firebird. Ivan Tsarevich too began to beg his father’s blessing.”
Once you figure out the correct function, rethink the other functions you had identified.

2) The Fire-Bird Dramatis Personae
The three dramatis personae derived from the story include the hero, the princess, and the donor. The hero refers to the person with the story’s main point of focus. They are the main character of the tale. Ivan Tsarevich is the hero. The whole story speaks of his encounter with the Firebird’s feather at the beginning and his success in the quest. The second aspect is the princess, which refers to the objective that the hero intends to achieve. In the fairy tale, Ivan seeks to return home with the Firebird to receive the father’s promises for them. He wanted to have half of the kingdom they were promised once they brought the Firebird to their father alive. The last dramatis personae for this fairy tale are the donor. It refers to the person who gives the hero something important (or something dear to them). Tsar is the donor in this case. This element is seen when Ivan begs for his father’s blessings to join his brothers in the quest for the Firebird. Those blessings were important to Ivan. Also, acquiring half of the kingdom proves Tsar was the donor.

– Teacher reaply :
You explain: The hero refers to the person with the story’s main point of focus. They are the main character of the tale. Ivan Tsarevich is the hero. The whole story speaks of his encounter with the Firebird’s feather at the beginning and his success in the quest.

This is not the language Propp uses. Propp explains that the hero seeks something, reacts to the dispatcher/donor characters and intends to defeat the villain or resolve any wrongdoings. Marries the princess.
The hero also performs the functions of the hero: initial situation, violation, mediation, counteraction, departure, etc.
Can you rephrase the princess and donor and use Propp’s language?
